Elevator Preservation and ADA Upgrades - PW729

The project is intended to upgrade elevators to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines and to ensure that elevators on campus remain safe and reliable. A 2015 comprehensive survey of campus elevators identified 29 elevators as needing some level of modernization, repairs, or renewal. Since the elevator work could not be delayed, a series of public works projects was planned, prioritizing repairs and upgrades based on the condition of various elevators. Every effort is being made to minimize impact on building occupants.
